Tomato Sauce for Pizza23 January, 2019
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 red onions, chopped
- 1/2 kg dry peas
- Several drops of stevia or other sweeteners
- 3 carrots, finely grated
- 2 liters water (or vegetable stock)
- Parmesan cheese as garnish
- Heat olive oil in a medium-size pot and sauté onions till golden.
- Add peas, carrots, and water. Bring to a boil and add sweetener and salt.
- Simmer for about an hour and a half, until peas are soft.
- Serve hot.
